About this project

Through June 2023, I studied the impact of the shift to electric vehicles on gas stations in New York State. I received a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts and The Architectural League of New York for the study that will include a short film and a website to share the research and the design of prototypes for urban, suburban and rural stations.

Here is a link to the grant announcement

I’m Michael Woods, an architect and a filmmaker. Feel free to contact me about the project, the prototypes and where you see this going in the future.

I am very grateful for all the support on this project from so many people. This project originally called: Station to Station: The Future of Gas Stations in New York with the Transition to Electric Vehicles is supported by Independent Projects, a partnership program of the New York State Council on the Arts and the Architectural League of New York. Independent Projects grants are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State legislature. Thanks!
